Our Vision

Love Tribe Project is a non profit organization started by women from Orange County, California in 2020. Love Tribe Project is committed to raising awareness and funds to help women and their families from Maasai villages in Kenya, Africa, have access to clean, safe water by building wells and schools and developing and supporting entrepreneurial programs. Empowering women and girls by ending the drudgery of walking miles for water, creates sustainable communities that are self sufficient and have the infrastructure to support families, preserve the Maasai culture and offer young people hope for a brighter future at the same time conserving the ecosystem and wildlife in the region.

Clean Water For All

In the 21st Century, its a crime against humanity that millions of women and children are still walking miles every day just to collect water. Approximately 770 million people world wide are still without clean, safe water. Approximately 1.6 million children, that’s about 4,300 each day, die unnecessarily painful deaths from diarrhea related diseases due to unsafe water. In our lifetime and with your help, we can end the water crisis for the Maasai peoples of Amboseli, Kenya. There are currently 1.5M Maasai in this region. This goal is totally achievable but we can’t do it alone.

More than just Water & Schools

Love Tribe Project has a vision to create beautiful inspiring communities that are self sufficient and a shining example of how life can be in Africa. We encourage our villages to form parent and community committees to oversee and maintain the projects and to help with initiatives like clearing the school grounds of rocks and bushes so that children can play in a safe environment. We instill in these communities a sense of pride of ownership. Unlike so many African and third world countries where trash and plastic waste are rife, our villages are spotless. Everyone picks up trash and keeps their communities clean. Our schools are well maintained unlike so many of the government schools that are run down and have broken windows and fittings. Our Maasai communities are a proud people and appreciative of the projects being implemented. We hope that these initiative will take root in other communities and change the face of what life can be like in these areas.

How is Love Tribe Project different to other Water Charities?

Love Tribe Project has directed relationships with the Maasai people in Amboseli, Kenya. 100% of all fund raising efforts and all profits from the sale of the beaded jewelry and home goods made by the woman from these communities goes directly to building and supporting the initiatives. Love Tribe Project is strictly volunteer based and members pay their own expenses. Love Tribe Project was started essentially because after contacting virtually all of the Water Charities and offering funds to build the wells for Amboseli, it was learned that these organizations out sourced the projects so they were not directly involved, nor could they help develop specific projects like the first water project we needed to build in Sumuneria, Kenya.

Love Tribe Project is a hands charity working directly with Maasai people in their communities. We are a family that spans from California to Amboseli, Kenya. We make regular visits to our villages and consider these people friends and family. We take donors on an annual trip so they too can get to know our Maasai communities. We raise the funds and with the help of our Maasai leaders in Kenya, we build the projects which are maintained by their communities. This creates self reliant sustainable communities. Women and girls benefit the most with these initiatives.
