Elephant water Holes

Lack of water has killed over 30% of the wildlife in Amboseli National Park during the last few years due to one of the most severest droughts in decades. This is more wildlife lost than any poaching has done. As most of our Maasai people live in and around Amboseli, they are in the paths of many of the migration of animals that move in and out of the park at night. This is a dangerous situation in the villages that now have water as the animals can smell the water. Since Amboseli is an elephant migration corridor, many villages are in danger of stampedes by elephant herds searching for water and food. We are now building elephant and wildlife water holes close to our water projects as animals need water as well. At Love Tribe Project we are now combining humanitarian endeavors with animal conservation. We are all connected. The best way to protect the magnificent wildlife is to also bring water to animals along with human water needs.
